Primary and middle schools of Jinling High School enrich education resources on SNEI

2022-10-20

As critical educational institutions on Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island (SNEI), the middle and primary schools attached to Jinling High School, located north of the island, started enrollment for the new semester in September.

The Middle School Affiliated to Jinling High School has an area of approximately 40, 000 square meters, while the primary school has about 25,000 square meters. Both schools are divided into three parts: Teaching Area, Comprehensive Area, and Sports Area, containing classrooms, libraries, canteens, playgrounds, and others.

Guided by the concept of inspiring students to explore and utilize learning resources on their own and encouraging public activities among students, the two schools have sought to build public cultural buildings with the characteristics of the eco hi-tech island and profound Chinese culture through good up-front planning of architectural design and environmental regulation.

The two schools created user-friendly campuses in creative ways. Public display corridors and ubiquitous reading areas make the school a place where students can grow up soundly.

Fully considering the concept of balanced development between ecology and technology, the two schools complied with the international community's highest evaluation standards on green buildings.

Compared to conventional buildings, new green buildings can save more than 60% of energy, solving energy and environmental problems and improving the campus environment simultaneously.

The two schools not only improve the educational institutions on SNEI but also provide power for the island's development. SNEI adheres to green growth and high-quality construction philosophy to build an eco-hi-tech island and a zero-carbon future city.
