Huatai Securities R&D and Training Center on Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island (SNEI), Jianye district started construction on Jun 26. 

With a total area of more than 53,000 square meters, the center aims to build a future-oriented IT application system, capability platform and R&D management system, strengthen Huatai Securities’ competitiveness in  fintech, and nurture exceptional financial professionals with an international perspective, better serving the sustainable development of Huatai Securities’ business and staff, while at the same time further enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness and vitality of SNEI. 

Huatai Securities has long stressed the importance of high-standard investment and a prospective layout for fintech. In 2009, it became the first in the industry to formulate an internet strategy, and in 2019 it became the first to embark on the process of comprehensive digital transformation. Technology is reshaping the business and management model of the company.

Led by itstechnology-driven dual-pronged strategy of wealth management and institutional services, Huatai Securitiesisbuilding a client-centric technology capability system to strengthen its unique competitiveness. In 2021, it invested more than 2.2 billion yuan in IT, with R&D staff accounting for more than 20% of all employees. While continuing to stay at the forefront in the domestic industry in terms of technology resource investment, the company made plans to catch up with the world's leading financial enterprises.

In addition, Huatai Securities will comprehensively enhance its capabilities in IT system planning, independent R&D, and big data maintenance and support, promote the in-depth development of the fintech innovation, and improve its trading capabilities with advanced core technologies. A corporate university will also be built through the construction of the training center to cultivate talents with both financial and technological expertise.  

Huatai Securities has been proactively exploring a sustainability strategy focusing on finance, technology and green development in recent years. The construction of the center will adhere to the sustainability strategy. It focuses on the harmony of buildings with the overall urban landscape and  makes use of natural resources, renewable energy and new technologies, techniques and materials for energy saving.
