New bases eye smart transportation, environmental technology

The Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island located in Nanjing, East Chinas Jiangsu province will welcome another two major projects — a smart transportation industrial park and a science and technology innovation base.

 

Jiangsu Future Urban Travel Technology Group, established by a consortium of investors led by Nanjing Big Data Group Co Ltd, recently won the bid for a piece of land on the Eco Hi-tech Island.

 

The land will be used to develop the Future Smart Transportation Industrial Parkwhich will be strategically positioned in the core area of the island.

 

The park will cover a total area of 18,312 square meters, with Xiankun Road in the east, Puyuan Road in the south, Zhongxin Avenue in the west, and Tingtao Street in the north.

 

 

The Jiangsu Future Smart Transportation Industrial Park will occupy a prime location on the Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island.

 

The science and technology innovation base will also be located in the heart of the island.

 

Its developer, Jiangsu Environmental Protection Group Co Ltd — a large-scale provincial strategic environmental protection industry group — won the bid for two land lots, meaning the base will consist of two parts, one covering 17,261 square meters and the other covering 20,596 square meters.

 

It is said the base will include an environmental protection industry corporate headquarters, a provincial ecological environment achievement display center, and R&D, experiment, information integration, and industrial investment centers for the environmental protection industry.

 

The Sci-tech Innovation Base of Jiangsu Environmental Protection Group will be situated in the core area of Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island.

 

So far, construction has finished on six industrial projects on the island, while another five are still in progress and five are about to break ground.

 

Currently, the island is home to 35 enterprises and platforms engaged in artificial intelligenceincluding Tencent Startand 52 enterprises and platforms devoted to environmental protectionincluding the Yangtze River Innovation Center for Ecological Civilization. A total of 48 foreign-funded enterprises have settled on the island.
