Jiangdao Intelligence Cube Zero Carbon Park: A pioneer in low-carbon urban development

2024-07-01

The construction of the Jiangdao IntelligenceCube Zero Carbon Park project has officially begun, marking the establishment of Nanjing's first zero-carbon park. This groundbreaking project serves as a new benchmark for the integration of low-carbon practices and technological innovationto achieve China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

A Pioneering Practice in Zero-Carbon Cities

The park is poised to feature buildings that generate their electricity, surplus power fed back to the grid, new energy security robots patrolling, and rooftop photovoltaic energy storage. These smart low-carbon applications are gradually becoming a realityat the Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island.

At the recently held 2024 Race to Zero Carbon City - New Quality Development Forum, the Jiangdao Intelligence Cube Zero Carbon Park, a key demonstration project of the "Zero Carbon Future City" initiative jointly created by China and Singapore, distinguished itself among numerous global competitors to win the Global Zero Carbon City Pioneer Award. This award is not only a recognition of the quality of a single project but also an endorsement of theisland's approachandcommitmentto smart construction development.

A Smart Upgrade for Low-Carbon Parks

TheZero CarbonPark project is located in the Jiangdao IntelligenceCube, which is the core carrier of the Xinweiyi International Industrial Park jointlyestablished by China and Singapore. All buildings here meet the national green building two-star standard and adopt an economical, feasible, and practical green low-carbon technology system.

ThisZero CarbonPark is a new upgrade for the entire island's implementation strategy of realizingthe carbon peaking and carbon neutralitygoals. It is anticipated to complete the construction of 8 projects, and some projects have already started construction.

The rooftop photovoltaic project is set to construct distributed rooftop photovoltaic power stations on the roofs of 8 buildings in the Jiangdao IntelligenceCube to reduce the park's energy consumption and provide stable and efficient green electricity for the park's enterprises.

The smart zero-carbon commercial cabin creates a comprehensive low-carbonconstruction scenario featuring a light storage direct flexible microgrid system, rooftop distributed photovoltaic, ventilated facades withBIPV, energy storage, photovoltaic air conditioning, DC lighting, DC sockets, carbon capture concrete, and other low-carbon building materials. This innovative setup achieves energy self-sufficiency and showcases the perfect integration of energy technology and architectural design.

The energy and carbon intelligent management platform adds microgrid modules and carbon modules to the existing digital twin energy consumption management platform to collect and display carbon-related data in the project.
