SingCham Shanghai led a business delegation to Nanjing from 19 to 20 April 2021.

Supported by the Enterprise Singapore and Singapore Global Network, the 14-member delegation comprising 10 organisations visited Nanjing to explore potential business and investment opportunities. These companies were from the precision engineering, logistics, building and construction, energy, and professional services.

The two-day mission enabled the delegates to gain first-hand understanding of the market dynamics and emerging sectors, and establish useful business and official contacts through our network of associations and chambers, investment promotion agencies and professional services.

A delegate from the business mission Mr Lo Wee Tick, Business Development Director of AEM Holdings, said “Meeting with officials in such regions will help set the stage for us to better understand their thoughts on China’s “dual-circulation” concept to localize foreign companies and therefore, what help they can offer to realize this plan.”

Another delegate, Mr David Yee, Chairman of Shanghai Meite Curtain Wall System Co., Ltd, commented, “The trip was helpful with SingCham and ESG support. In future, hopefully we can also visit large Singapore companies in Shanghai or Yangtze River Delta and learn from them. It would also be good if some of our SingCham members or green alliance members can showcase their companies and share business insights.”
